Make Your Own Wings I

My last job was at a place that made very high end welded aluminum furniture. As a way to improve my skills, indeed learn how to weld at all, I took on two projects. First, a pair of aluminum wings, and then a sword. I learned an amazing amount by just going and doing these things.

The wings weigh somewhere around seven and half pounds each, plus a pound for the center support structure that's covered. They pivot to three positions, plus reverse in one for a total of four different settings.

The sword had more emphasis on finishing. Only four and a half pounds, a total of 18 pieces ended up being welded together, plus two steel handle plates to adjust the balance.

Lastly the chainmail shirt is also by me. It's been about halfway done for over a year now. Motivation to finish it is hard to find since I've already put together somewhere around ten thousand links.
